The Dane Erik Refner (37) was a student photojournalism as he won World Press Photo 2001. After winning the award, he started working for the Danish Newspaper Berlingske Tidende. Nowadays he does both commerical and photojournalistic work, that brought him to Pakistan, Congo and Darfur. This year he won a first prize in the WPP-sports category.
