Douwe Egberts is announcing that all its espresso mixes in the Netherlands will be 100% sustainable from 1 May. Espresso is the name of a coffee-making method that is being increasingly enjoyed by the Dutch, both at home and when out and about. The transfer over to 100 % sustainable coffee beans with the UTZ Certified seal of approval applies to all of the business market, Douwe Egberts Coffee Systems (including Douwe Egberts and catering brand Piazza dOro and Laurentis) and the consumer market. With this, the Dutch coffee roaster is taking the next step towards meeting the market’s demand for a completely sustainable coffee market.
